I know my computer has a virus, but Ad-Adware isn’t detecting it, and my computer won’t allow me to download AVG. I know I have a virus because I keep getting pop ups and I even have a pop up blocker. Another antivirus program told me I had 83 viruses and 2 Trojan.Vondus, but it wouldn’t let me get rid of them. What should I do?

I have an ancient computer that runs on Window’s 98 and I had to keep the monitor and all of the equipment because I can’t use anything else, and it only has 2 usb’s. But I figure hey, it’s still a computer, RIGHT? Every single minute, I get a pop-up from Windows Security System saying that I have potential viruses and spyware and adware! I have an excellent virus protection and pop-up blocker and all that good stuff, and I never had problems until now! How do I stop these from popping up? PLEASE help me.
I really dont think Windows Security System is a trick. It’s even under my control panel.

I’ve tried avira avg spyware terminator and smart pop up blocker and deleted all my cookies and it works until I click on a second link. It doesn’t open up a separate window like most pop ups and seems to hyjack me browser and it only does it when I click on hyperlinks in search engine query . can any of you help me?
